The successful candidate will have:Previous experience preparing artwork for either brochures, signboards or newspaper advertisementsGood knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and IllustratorThe ability to manage and work on multiple jobs at one timeA proactive nature and the ability to solve problems independentlyAn eye for detailExcellent spelling and good verbal and written EnglishExcellent interpersonal skills when dealing with clients

The pool will operate for up to 12 months, from which people may be appointed to a range of full-time, part-time permanent and fixed-term vacancies as they occur

WORK TYPE: Permanent - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Fixed Term - Full Time LOCATION: West Perth JOB DESCRIPTION: The Desktop Publisher is responsible, on a project basis, for entering and/or importing, correcting and manipulating text as well as graphics using various publishing software for electronic downloading to print, electronic storage devices or online facilities
SELECTION CRITERIA: 1
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills as evidenced by the ability to liaise effectively with authors, editors and designers over the design of style and guide formats for learning materials 2
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

Demonstrated experience using industry standard desktop publishing, computer software and hardware and/or an advanced level of expertise using Microsoft Word

Demonstrated high level of typography, layout and design skills

Conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to provide innovative thinking in problem solving

Well developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads
