The Gold Coast Drug Council Inc is a non-government organization providing a wide range of drug & alcohol treatment services
Applications are sought from experienced clinicians who have an interest in working with dual diagnosis clients
The successful applicant will join the multi-disciplinary team based at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, and provide both community outreach and residential services
The position is classified at a senior level and would be most suitable for applicants with demonstrated skills and experience in the selection criteria to follow:
Demonstrated skills in the assessment of and the appropriate clinical management of complex dual diagnosis conditions

Evidence of a professional frame of reference that is able to accommodate a diverse range of approaches and strategies in a flexible and creative manner while remaining empirically grounded and client focused

Superior written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships and to address and resolve conflict

An ability to effectively and efficiently organize and prioritize a complex workload and a sound understanding of professional, ethical and legal requirements that regulate your activity

Familiarity and confidence in community networking, engagement and development activities

The ability to meet and report on agreed performance indicators
Education & Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in Psychology/ and or Health, Behavioural/Social Sciences

Current drivers licence
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in a mental health/drug and alcohol setting

Experience in intersectoral service development, and the development of collaborative partnerships, is also desirable
