This role is working in the infrastructure team
This team is responsible for all infrastrucuture projects for the group and the maintenance of complex IT systems including 150 servers both physical and virtual
This team is part of a 30+ strong team of IT staff including Service Desk, Applications, Data Warehouse and Operations/Desktop Support teams
The ideal candidate will have a strong Citrix/SMS core and knowledge or exposure to most of the following:Strong EMC SAN skills MS Clustering and SQL Server Cluster installs Strong VMWare ESX 3 /3

Once you are in place and understand the business, its processes and are firing on all cylinders, my client s next stage of the plan is then grow aggressively throughout the start of 2009 brining in more junior engineers that can be mentored by you
The initial 4 members of the team will then make the smooth transition into a leadership role, be it a Team Leader or Project Manager s etc
You will have at least 5 years relevant commercial experience, preferably from an IT Service Provider/Managed Services background
You will have a broad range of technical skills including proven experience using Citrix, VMware and Windows 2000/2003
You must have an excellent understanding of technology, hold an MCSE or CCA and be very customer focused with excellent communication skills
Any experience with Storage Management (SAN, NAS, etc
) and Server Backup/Recovery (Veritas NetBackup, CommVault Galaxy, Symantec Backup Exec, etc) would be highly regarded but not essential in the success of your application
