We are seeking an Architect to join the enterprise team which provides solutions and standards across business units for this organisation

The person will work closely with key stakeholders to shape the direction of the technical infrastructure
This involves developing roadmaps, strategic direction and planning

Key responsibilies of this role includes:
Set architectural strategy and standards - hardware, software, OS
develop solutions for complex infrastructure problems
provide guidance on aspects of solution design
provide DRP planning and business continuity planning
To be considered for this role, we require a proven background in the following areas:
Extensive experience in SERVER platforms such as UNIX, Linux and Windows
Extensive experience across virtualisation, storage area networks, blade servers, clustering, network management
Exp in building scalable solutions that have a proven net effect on the business
Exp in DRP
Strong exp in logical and physical modelling
Exp in managing projects of considerable size
Exp in negotiations and stakeholder management and reporting
Demonstrated influential skills
Able to work in a team environment, seeking a win for all

Relevant tertiary qualification
Salary $110-130K range

Senior Infrastructure Design Architect

We are searching for an experience Senior Infrastructure Design Architect for a 6 month contract within a large Government Department
Responsibilities will include:Respond to queries and provide design analysis regarding impacts on Infrastructure designs resulting from new and changing organisational business requirements
Provide design risk assessments and recommendations related to Infrastructure platforms
Contribute to design governance and compliance activities for Infrastructure platforms and solutions
Initiate strategies that will improve platform design standards
Produce various Infrastructure roadmaps and design document standards to assist with the management of Infrastructure environments and systems to ensure secured, reliable and cost effective platforms
Provide testing and certification signoff
Perform Solution Architecture function to provide both tactical and strategic Infrastructure Design advice and solutions
Assist with the management of design directions for various platform technologies relating to Mainframe, Midrange and Desktop platforms etc
Perform Solution design cost estimation function to provide costing advice of solutions
Develop design and deployment options, activities and deliverables
Ideally the successful candidate will have a background in the following:Extensive design and architecture experience in Infrastructure and/or Systems related roles
Demonstrated extensive knowledge of Infrastructure related technologies and products (i
e

communications, operating system, Server hardware etc)
Demonstrated knowledge of Infrastructure related technologies and products (i
e

communications, operating system, Server hardware)
Proven knowledge and experience of midrange computing virtualisation solutions
Demonstrated knowledge and skills of Microsoft technologies including server and desktop products
Demonstrated sound analytical and problem solving skills
Proven sound solution design skills

Knowledge of Microsoft technologies including server and desktop products
Sound analytical and problem solving skills
