1st level Helpdesk Support within a fun and dynamic team environment
Approx 2 month Contract with possible extension commencing early January 09
CBD Location This dynamic team is looking for a 1st level Service Desk/Helpdesk Officer to join their IT Services Division for a 2 month + contract
You will be working within a team of 8 people providing 1st level support to end users within this large organisation
You will have;
Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially a good telephone technique

Good team skills

Basic system administration skills in Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Office, Outlook and Windows XP Environment

Analytical and problem solving skills

Demonstrated PC Hardware and Software support skills

Previous Service Desk experience desirable
You will have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in the IT industry / Helpdesk Support
Your ability to deliver quality customer service to end users of computer systems and extensive knowledge and experience with the Windows XP operation system and Active Directory is essential

Job Description

The purpose of the Helpdesk Officer is to assist in the efficient running of the ICT Team by completing the tasks in hand
This will include, answering, logging, assigning and managing ICT Helpdesk support requests from the staff of all multiple offices
Along with:
Managing incidents to conclusion
Liaison with 3rd Party vendors and contractors
Using desktop management systems to assist in the diagnosis and resolution of incidents
Tackling incoming Helpdesk requests via phone and face to face
Logging Helpdesk support requests accurately into the Helpdesk database
Generating Helpdesk reports for management
The Successful Applicant

You will have excellent customer service and problem solving skills along with fantastic communication and presentation
You'll have 2+years experience in customer service, call center or a previous Helpdesk environment, and ready to take on a new permanent opportunity
Along with:
Understanding of ITIL processes
Cisco Certifier Network Associate or equivalent
Microsoft Certified Professional or equivalent
HSC or equivalent
