Who are they ?

This Leading Corporate / Property Services company located in the CBD are looking to employ an experienced and professional Legal Secretary / Paralegal to oversee and assist with company compliance, and ASIC lodgement
You will be rewarded with a great salary, fantastic team environment and you will be kept busy with a very hands on role


This role involves:

Taking minutes for the Board meetings
Drafting communications for the ASX
Drafting information for shareholders regarding changes in the company

General company secretary work
ASIC lodgements
The type of candidate they want




Proven ability to develop strong business relationships

Strong communication is a MUST
Good computer skills - Advanced Word and Excel skills
A real team player - Someone who has the ability to work in a dynamic and vibrant business environment

This is a unique opportunity for a paralegal to join a government agency on a contract basis
Working with a team of paralegals and property managers you will be responsible for all legal issues associated with the due diligence and vesting of owned and leased property assets
Your duties will include: > Review of all existing lease documentation, licences and any other forms of tenure > Prepare epitomes for each tenancy agreement; > Benchmark agency leases against current favourable lease terms and identify gaps / potential liabilities > Undertake risk assessments and highlight any adverse lease terms, GST issues, etc > Advise legal remedies / develop action plans to address > Draft new Licence agreements > Obtain current title documents, bank guarantees, insurances, etc > Review of title particulars for easements, impediments You will be tertiary qualified with extensive legal experience with commercial leases

Working within the commercial property team you will be providing legal assistance with the following areas:
Application to amend title
Bank guarantees - prepare and review
Deeds of priority/postponement/subordination - review and prepare
Easements (transfer granting and positive covenant)
Mortgage Debentures - prepare
Mortgage of Lease - prepare and review
The Successful Applicant
You will have a proven track record within commercial property with a focus on trust deed reviews, consents to lease and consents to plans of subdivision
Extreme attention to detail and excellent communication are essential
