The PR Manager will work directly with the executive management team on the development and execution of corporate communications strategies, providing guidance to senior managers and key stakeholders on media relations and external communications
You will be the point of contact for the media, developing relationships with key media and PR agency contacts, and overseeing the performance of external PR vendors
The PR Manager will play a lead role on internal communications projects
You will have one direct report, working as part of a broader marketing team to streamline procedures and implement changes to internal PR and corporate communications processes
Required skills and experience This role demands an experienced, confident and highly polished PR/Corporate Communications professional with at least 7 years experience across in-house and/or agency roles
You will be degree qualified, and ideally will have worked in the online media or related industries
Candidates for this role should be strong across strategic thinking and delivery, and be adept at working in a relatively autonomous role
You will build strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders so your ability to communicate and steer key people towards a common goal is imperative, as is an existing network within the media industry
You will have sound knowledge of best practice in the public relations and communications space
The PR Manager will have strong business acumen, as well solid organizational and people management skills
