Job Description

Managing a team of 10 based from Shanghai your overall responsibility will be to grow the Golf division across Mainland China
You will have a key focus on maintaining and managing the current portfolio of events as well as developing new business streams

You will also take ownership for developing strong relationships with the Government and in particular the China Golf Association

Other responsibilities will include; golf course management, key multinational corporate sponsors and athlete management

The Successful Applicant

At least 5 years experience in mainland China
Chinese and English language fluency (written and spoken) are essential
Ideally an individual from the sports industry (not necessarily golf but an interest and knowledge of the sport would help)
Well respected in Beijing / government / sporting circles to add immediate gravitas to the China Golf Association relationship
Experience in Chinese relations business and an understanding of local protocol and business practices
Ideally you will have an understanding of sports sponsorship, business, media, television and a passion for golf
