With a vision to operate to world s best practice, our client is seeking a Warehouse Manager to help lead the distribution team in providing ongoing customer service to their valued clients
Responsible for the day to day warehouse management of a very fast moving high volume distribution facility, this role will be accountable for assisting in the process implementation, hands-on operations and staff management
Key responsibilities include:
Management of service performance and staff planning
Day to day strategic warehouse management

Hands on process implementation & warehouse optimisation
Practice OH&S To be successful in this role, you will be required to have extensive experience within a fast moving high volume environment


Strong communication skills, excellent analytical and forward planning is a must

Job Description

Working from 10 p
m
to 6 a
m
, your main aim as supervisor will be to promote a healthy work culture by being an effective change agent in this fast moving, high volume environment
Among others, you will:

Make certain that operational targets and service levels to both internal and external clients meet the stringent standards set

Suggest and roll out improvements to warehouse operations, including staff selection and training

Supervise the planning and dispatch of all orders

Ensure that all OH&S practices are known and followed


The Successful Applicant

You will have:

A strong motivation to achieve and exceed set goals

A successful track record in supervisory roles in a unionized Warehouse environment

The firm desire to tackle a challenging environment and the ability to manage resistance

A solid ability to influence, motivate and lead people toward true change

The belief in the importance of safety and OH&S practices

Working command of RF Scanning, ERP and WMS systems, as well as sound knowledge of Excel and other MS tools
